Tinkercad
For the Tinkercad assignment I initially wanted to do an Olmec face mask. I was under the assumption this was some type of program in which I would start off like a block and be able to carve down like in traditional media. I quickly realized this was more like a building type of program. I had to scratch the idea of a mask and decided to create an animal. I chose a snake because I have always liked the way they looked. For me, snakes have always represented the most misunderstood animal. I think this ties into the way snakes have been depicted all throughout time beginning with the Biblical creation story of a mischievous animal. On my tinkercad mine looks a bit more cuter. He doesn't seem like the type that would attack but rather come up and play with you. In all honesty this was my least favorite assignment. I was struggling a lot in the beginning with zooming back and forth and for some reason really struggled with duplicating the objects. Just like all of the other assignments once I got the hang of it, it started to make more sense.
